About Me!

My name is Hope Fletcher, Zoongide'e, and I’m a healer and an artist.

When I was twelve, I was diagnosed with major depressive disorder. It took most of my childhood, and it almost took my life, but I refused. I realized I wasn’t going to be happy unless I tried. The pain we endure makes us stronger, and I believe we grow closer to God in our suffering. Like Kintsugi, He uses our weaknesses to make us into something even more beautiful. With my weakness, I believe God is using me to bring Hope, after all, that’s what He named me.

Hope is Healing, I choose to bring Healing through art because it allows me to tell stories that can't be seen through the outside world, but only with what's inside. I can show the colors of my heart and the emotion of my soul. Art is what separates human life from others, and I’m dedicated to creating art as my life purpose because the world needs more color.

Other than that deep-wanna-be stuff, I'm a person who's passionate in my faith and it's been my goal to grow spiritually and be closer to God. My name, Zoongide'e, means Strong/Brave Heart in Anishinaabemowin, my ancestor's language that I'm slowly learning.

I'm a Theatre kid, a TECHIE- hope I didn't scare you- I'm a techie that does the lights and paints the sets. I'm also a band kid- no escaping that one- I play clarinet, bass clarinet, and ocarina. My other hobbies are treasure hunting, taking walks in the woods, and making mayhem.

I'm going to school for Creative Writing because it's my dream to write stories. I plan on participating in my community as much as possible. Other than that, the rest of my personality is that I have chickens and I love my dogs.
