My Proposed Solution

I feel like I'm taking on a big challenge, and it's scary because many of my peers didn't support my decision to choose this, but that convinced me to do it even more. My proposed solution is to create a Christian non-profit organization that works with churches to transform them into the best they can be for their community.

The Bible Project

The Bible Project is an online resource that users can access for free breakdowns, videos, and lessons on the Bible. It's accessible for people without money and provides multiple ways to learn for different people.

This is a great resource for furthering your understanding of scripture in an honest, non-political way. However, The Bible Project does not work with helping churches to be welcoming places for people to feel comfortable being Christians.

Youth With A Mission

Youth With A Mission was recommended to me by my counselor. It is an organization that encourages youth to improve their communities and minister to isolated places that don't know God. It is successful in making change.

YWAM is for students and young adults who are ambitious in Christ and wish to change the world with Him. Still, Youth With A Mission doesn't work directly with churches but rather individuals.

Prison Fellowship

Prison Fellowship is an organization that my church works with. Its goal is to bring the Good News to the incarcerated and help churches bring their ministry to prisons. It also tackles addiction and homelessness.

Out of all of these, Prison Fellowship has aided churches the most in supporting their community. They don't tackle the sermons and church environment. I want to build off of what Prison Fellowship is doing.

How Will I Solve My Problem?

It's taken a lot of brainstorming and organization to fully grasp what this organization will do. My main components are Support: Members of our organization meet with churches to discuss their needs. With this, we can directly tackle the problem. Articles And Information: Articles and blogs about the church environment, where most churches fail, and tips on how to be welcoming. Users of the website can use this to learn. Community Service: A search engine that Christians can use to find volunteer and donation opportunities with their churches, improving their communities. Christian Chat: A forum message system similar to Reddit where Christians can comfortably ask questions to each other without judgment.
